About the discussion and art hop
Join members of Blackfish Gallery, Carnation Contemporary, Gallery 114, Waterstone Gallery, and Well Well Projects as we discuss what it means to be part of a cooperative gallery. There is over 100 years of collective experience between these organizations and we want to amplify, celebrate, and discuss challenges together.
Over the course of two panel discussions, these artists will respond to questions such as: What is the collective model? How does this impact and sustain longevity? How does this particular business model support and facilitate artistic freedom and autonomy? How does this model offer services to artists and become an asset to our communities? Why is this so critical now? How are these artists looking to their past in order to shape their future?
