In her inaugural show at Waterstone Gallery, TRIBUTE, Ruth Armitage presents new paintings alongside works by several artists who have made an indelible impression on her practice. The show explores how her art making has evolved by reflecting on a lifetime of relationships and influences. This is especially poignant as the last two years have been marked by the loss of several people dear to Armitage: teachers, mentors, friends, and her mother. Ruth presents nine abstract paintings based on artists whose teaching have influenced her work and each of these artists have agreed to exhibit alongside Ruth.
