This winter Waterstone Gallery looks forward to exhibiting work from five Pacific Northwest ceramicists who use clay to create textured narratives - rich with differing ideas and feelings. Political figurative images from Patti Warashina and sensual flora from Lisa Conway are captured in a material that is both malleable and fragile. Abstract sculptural pieces by Natalie Warrens and Jan Hoy contrast provocatively with precisely detailed porcelain pieces by Kate MacDowell. Each of these artists has inscribed their story into the clay with their heart and hands.
