This June, Waterstone Gallery is pleased to exhibit Nancy Wilkins’ sculptures in her show "Lost/Found." Wilkins presents welded steel sculptures made from found/scrap metal objects. In this work, Nancy explores the themes of loss and rediscovery, delving into her personal journey of uncovering long-lost family connections while simultaneously coming to realize that the full story will forever remain a mystery. The sculptures serve as metaphors for the transformative power of repurposing and reclamation, highlighting the layered history and inherent beauty found within lost and ordinary objects. By assembling something new from these reclaimed fragments, Nancy aims to release the objects back into the unknown where they can regain their enigmatic, transitory, soulful essence.
