MF is an abstract collage artist whose primary material is their own 35mm film photography. Their collages are about deconstructing the natural world around them and seeing reality in a different way. Their work engages their internal experience and translates it into color. This reconstruction creates a sense of beauty and possibility. MF’s work is about the process; it is a hands-on practice in patience, focus, and faith.
Raised in New York, MF earned their Bachelor’s in Environmental Studies from the University of San Francisco and their Master’s in Counseling from California State University, East Bay. They reside in Portland, OR.
